The WARFL season got underway last weekend with the Annual Cymru Clwb Cup being hosted by the Cardiff Double Blues at the Welsh Institute of Sport, Cardiff.
Five teams took part in the cup with last years Premiers, the Cardiff Panthers joining the Double Blues and last years Minor Premiership winners the Bristol Dockers. Rounding off the teams were the Vale Warriors and a joint team comprising of the Swansea Magpies and WARFL newcomers the Chippenham Redbacks.
The tournament a was also a fund-raising event for RYC South Africa, a charity that is this year linked with the Cardiff Double Blues. More information can be found at http://www.rycsouthafrica.org/
