The 4th round of the WARFL kicked off early on Thursday evening as the Cardiff Derby took place in front of a reasonable crowd enjoying the sun at the Welsh Institute of Sport pitch in Pontcanna Fields. Reigning Premiers, the Cardiff Panthers saw off a spirited Cardiff Double Blues comeback in the 2nd half to come out on top.
Elsewhere the Bristol Dockers defeated the Vale Warriors, whilst the Chippenham Redbacks extended their lead at the top of the table with a convincing defeat of the Swansea Magpies.
