The Chippenham Redbacks extended their lead at the top of the WARFL table. Despite being behind going into 1st Quarter time away to the Cardiff Double Blues, a resurgent 2nd quarter saw them put 7 goals to the Double Blues solitary 1. After half time the Redbacks slowly pulled away, and despite a late comeback, they held out for victory to continue unbeaten this year, finishing 18.18.126 - 12.14.86 winners.
In the 12 o'clock Ball Up at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff, the reigning Champions took on the reigning Minor Premiers in a rematch of last years Grand Final. The Panthers were too strong at home and ran out convincing winners 20.18.138 - 4.9.33.
